Stuff...

I haven't posted for a while, and I'm not even sure what I posted last. I know I didn't put up any pictures from our 4th of July/4th of Dimaya party, which was a blast! Our friend, Brian, puts on a fantastic fireworks show every year and this year was especially great because he put roman candles on a helmet and rode around on a little scooter in the opening act. It was amazing!! He really outdid himself this year.

Let's see...the Harry Potter movie came out, as I clearly already talked about! I shaved Matt and Mitchel's heads before Mitchel went on his High Adventure camp. It was a lot of fun! I think I could be a hair stylist if I specialized in head shaving. :) We were tempted to shave off Jonas's crazy long lock of hair he has going on, but we wanted Matt to remain married with his child, so we decided not to!

The "Before" shot - same nervous, goofy smiles.

The "After" shot

They were both actually quite surprised that they didn't look too bad. They both have very nicely shaped heads, and Mitchel swears it makes his muscles look bigger. Ok, Mitch. ;) wink

Oh my gosh! How could I have forgotten?! I went and saw Michael Buble live at the MGM with my friends, Christy, Lissa, and Becky and it was AMAZING!! He is such a charismatic performer and it was so fun. I was snapping and swaying in my seat the whole time. I won't lie, I totally fell in love with him! And he's Canadian, which is a total bonus! I honestly can't remember being this star struck since Becky and I obsessed over NSync in high school! But seriously, Michael Buble is a dream. If he ever comes to your town, GO SEE HIM! You won't regret it.

Ok, so the next matter of business is that the last Harry Potter book came out on Saturday. I have already finished it and it was amazing! J.K. Rowling is a brilliant author, and I was not disappointed in the book. I won't say much about it, because I know people are still reading it. It was an emotional roller coaster and there was not a dull moment through the whole book. I think it's my favorite book out of the series, and I'm not sure if that's due to the fact that it's the last book, or if it's because of all that unravels, or if it's because it's the close of an era, but I LOVED it! And to all you who are not Harry Potter fans, I implore you, as a recent convert myself, that you read these books because they are amazing! I'm not going to lie though, all this Harry Potter hype really makes me miss Michael, who I credit as the one who got me into the books. I have his copy waiting for him when he gets off of his mission and his series is complete on the bookshelf. It looks awesome!

So, now that I am finished the book I can get on with my life and start getting ready for my amazing journey to Europe, for which I leave in 2 days and I haven't done ANYTHING to get ready for it. Oops! Darn you HP!! So, my next post will most likely be in 3 weeks when I return from the land of history and amazing art. :)
