Life Is Good

I just realized that I already did a post that included my birthday...oops. So, I guess this is going to be a more random post than I thought. We finally had my birthday cake a week after my birthday, but it was delicious...and Dad thought he would be funny and light all 26 candles with a blow torch. Real funny.

Every summer they do outdoor plays up at Spring Mountain Ranch and they're sooo much fun. My friend Krystal was in Beauty and the Beast this year, so I grabbed my roommate, Mindy, and my friend, Missy, and headed up there. They did such a good job on the play and we had a blast watching our friends. Krystal's boyfriend was Lafou and he cracked us up the whole time!

Check out Missy's crazy witch hand...I'll get you my pretty!

Megan and I headed up to Utah the weekend before the 4th and it was so good to see her family again. It had been way too long since I had been up there and I absolutely love her family! Her parents just opened up a new restaurant in Lehi called Charlie Boy's and it was delicious! It's Southern Bbq and it's seriously mouth-watering, plus it's got a really fun atmosphere. We met up with my friends, Cade and Carrian and their little girl Peyton, and hung out there all day. The weather was perfect and we had a blast teaching Peyton new dance moves and catching up on old times.

Mmmm...homemade ice cream

We also got to spend some time with our really good friend Dave. He seriously kills me and we had a blast hanging out with him. His roommate has these really cool old bikes, so we took the bikes out for a little midnight ride. The weather at night is perfect in Utah, so it was quite a delightful little ride! We may or may not have ditched Dave though. Oops! We didn't know he was going to grab another bike and follow us and we were just too fast! We also almost got lost up in his neighborhood in Holaday. It's confusing up there!

We actually went up there for Megan's dad's 60th birthday, so clearly we made him an amazing cake, and had fun picking out a new, fashionable hat.

Yup...there are 60 candles on that cake. :)
