We have had quite an eventful couple of weeks! Matt and Jonas came for the long weekend for a quick visit to see Mark get home from his mission. Sadly, Renee's grandma passed away so she was in Canada for the funeral and wasn't able to come with Matt and Jonas. Mitchel also happened to get his mission call the same weekend that Mark came home. So exciting!!

Camping!
I love going camping with random people! Seriously though. My roommate Mindy, my friend Sara, and I all headed up to Duck Creek for a little overnight camping trip. I only wish we could have stayed longer. I looove camping!! We got up there kind of late, so we set up our tent in the dark with the assistance of some fine gentlemen. We thought it was a nice little clearing. Turns out when Mindy and I went to bed later we found many hard lumps that we had to scoot around...or spoon all night. We chose the latter. I suppose we should have snatched one of the air mattresses from our better prepared guy friends. Lesson learned. Anyway, it was loads of fun and we'd better do it again soon!

A Glimpse
i think: way too much!
i know: who I am and why I'm here
i want: to understand more
i have: a lot of questions
i wish: i really knew what i wanted
i dislike: the texture of flour
i miss: Joni, my loved ones who have passed away, and my friends in Canada
i fear: being alone
i feel: pretty content most of the time
i hear: not very well
i smell: way too well. i have a very sensitive sniffer and perfumes are the worst!
i crave: salty, crunchy things
i usually: think i'm pretty funny
i search: the scriptures daily
i wonder: what my future holds
i regret: a lot of my relationships in college
i love: my family
i care: about my family, friends, and RS girls
i always: want to be more creative
i worry: about whether i'm doing enough
i am not: very good at expressing myself
i remember: really random things, and great vacations
i believe: in the Plan of Salvation
i hope: i'm learning what i need to teach my future family
i dance: in front of the mirror all the time
i sing: at the top of my lungs in the car
i don’t always: make my bed every day
i argue: very rarely
i write: way less than i'd like to
i win: at Mad Gab every time
i lose: my marbles nearly every day
i never: try to deliberately hurt others
i listen: pretty well, i think
i don't understand: men
i can usually be found: working or chilling out at home with my roommate
i am scared: of snakes and man made heights

Yay for Babies!
I'm so excited for my friend Nicole! She had her second baby boy, Lincoln, on Aug 7, 2008 and he is ADORABLE! Megan, Missy, and I headed to the hospital to hang out with Nicole and to see the new little bundle. He is seriously a dream and we're so excited for her and Aaron. I felt a little bad because we made her laugh so hard she thought her incision from the c-section was going to burst! That's what happens when you have such entertaining friends, and a new baby who pees in his grandma's face when she changes his diaper! Anyway, congrats to them!

Never....
Laugh at your mom in the temple when she tells you she just got called as the Relief Society President...you will get called 2 years later!
Yup...remember that whole post I did about being happy for no apparent reason all the time? I guess that the "something around the corner" was my new calling. I'm actually really excited for it and I can't wait to get to know all of the girls better. We have a really great ward and a really fun Relief Society, so it will be fantastic! Anyway...besides Melinda's birthday (which I took NO pictures of), and my new calling nothing else is new in my life right now. I'll let you know if something is though!
